BL 20p G3 Altris Image Problems with CITRIX 4.0

Hi Forum,

We have 25 HP BL20p G3 Server (W2K SP4). For system backup of the Servers we use Altiris Rapid Deployment Vers. 6.1.

This works fine but not on CITRIX Server.
When we backup teh CITRIX Server in 2 of 3 cases the system is not reacheable after backup.

Then we have to uninstall TCP/IP boot teh server and reinstall TCP/IP.
If you stop the CITRIX Services the backup works fine.

PSP is 7.51
An update to 7.60 does not make any differences.

Does anyone have an idea?

Hi Thomas Bauer

When creating an image by RDP, there are two ways for the purpose.
1. Image Distribution
2. backup

A setup is needed when RDP is being used for your backup.

1. Select a job in RDP console
2. Dobule click "Create disk image" task
3. Click "Advanced"
4. Select "Do not boot to Production"
(In RDP6.1, I think that it is Windows instead of Production.)

5. Click [OK], and click [Finish]

Hi Yuichiro Kitamura,

when we use the RDP we create a new image job by defining a new job based on the "standard" job "create fast disk image"

We have the problem, that if we stop the CTX services a image is possible without any problems.

Seems that the RDP has a problem with the CITRIX services.
