Extremely slow PXE boot
I'm having extremely slow response time (hours) when trying PXE boot and pull a small image via TFTP from a deployment server on the same subnet. Has anyone else run into this? THe NIC is PXE enabled and set to 100/FD.
Thanks,
drgray

Re: Extremely slow PXE boot
You might be aware of this, but...
When you manually configure the server NIC to 100/FD, you'll also have to do that at the switch end.
If the switch port is set to autonegotiate, it will fallback to 100/HD if the other end is manually configured and not responding to negotiation.
The result is a very slow network connection.

Re: Extremely slow PXE boot
It's best to set everything to AUTO (RDP, Switch, and Target).
