RDP 3.70 deploying vmware esx.

I'm having issues with the deployment of esx on rdp 3.70 in that the linux boot disk fails to connect to the build server. What are the required components for this to work properly? The winpe boot disk connects to the rdp server OK. Obviously I missing some config. Can anyone help?

Re: RDP 3.70 deploying vmware esx.

Do you have the FTP service running on the DS server?

Thanks for the reply Gordon, FTP service is running pointing to the dslib directory???? One thing I have noticed if you check the pxe manager for the linux disk the directory specified in the mount point /express /mnt/ds doesn't seem to exist on the server........

Re: RDP 3.70 deploying vmware esx.

I tend to see this when people install RDP then as an after though add FTP. You can try to run PIM again (under the DIR call PIM...if a recall correctly). The PIM "should" make the needed changes. [This is assuming your using MS FTP service.

Thanks for the info but I've realised what was wrong - name resolution not set correctly on the dhcp range. Now seems to be building the jobs okay.
