RDP Over different Subnet?

I will summarize the issue...

2 VLANS - One with my RDP manager, the other my citrix farm where my HP Bl420Cs are.

I need to deploy more images onto some of my blades that are not currently in use now, however I cannot get the PXE boot to go.

Must the RDP server be on the same subnet? Please assist, thank you.

Re: RDP Over different Subnet?

To enable PXE to work across subnets that are not on the same switch you need to have an iphelper statement added to your switch. The iphelper forwards the PXE broadcast traffic to the RDP server. If you read the RDP Planning guide it goes into great detail about this.

You can also create a boot disk for that VLAN that would manually give it an IP Address. Mount it as an ISO and let the server boot from that
