Scripted install for SLES9
Has anyone been able to do a scripted install
for SLES9.0 with RDP 1.6 WE ?
Seems like the kernel form the SLES9 distribution doesn't work.
Errors like VFS: Cannot open root device
crc error
I there a working ADL agent for 2.6 Linux
kernel ?

Re: Scripted install for SLES9
Martin,
Can you install SLES9 on Blades with RDP ?
I can't install it too.
1. I try to virtual map the CDROM, but the system not boot from it.
2. I try to map it on a system with W2K server, but the USB disconect in seconds.
3. I have try to map the image files that came on the SLES9 CD, but I get stuck after the 3rd image files.
4. Maybe if I make a .imf file of the entire CD 1 of SLES9 I could map it to the Blade and then boot it from it.
Thanks,
Alejandro Benitez

Hi Alejandro,

Haven't tried this. I guess the problem lies within SLES9.0 installation kernel which
does not work with scripted install.

Have you tried to install via NFS ?

Not sure. I think you just need a kernel and
initrd which have the necessary drivers included.
Thanks,
Alejandro Benitez
