Hello. I would like to use a 2.5" SSD drive as my server's boot device. I would ike to place / install it in one of the two free media bays. Has anyone had any experience using something similar to the product that I have linked below:
Suggestions are welcome
Thank you!

Re: 3.5-Inch to x2 SSD / 2.5-Inch Internal Hard Drive Mounting Kit
Hello,
If the server model along with its generation number such as "HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10" were to be provided, then its QuickSpecs could be fetched to provide an answer with HPE supported options. For third party product, it is recommended to contact the vendor for its compatibility and documentation for its use.

Re: 3.5-Inch to x2 SSD / 2.5-Inch Internal Hard Drive Mounting Kit
@TVVJ First off, thatnk you so much for your prompt response.. And secondly, my apologies for not providing more details about the equipment that I am using. This is totally unlike me. It is usually one of the first bits of information that I include in my post.
The server in question is the ProLiant ML350P Gen8

Hello,
x2 SSD are per say not supported on this server. You may refer to its QuickSpecs.

Re: 3.5-Inch to x2 SSD / 2.5-Inch Internal Hard Drive Mounting Kit
Are you saying that I cannot use one of the two onboard SATA ports with an SSD drive? Can I not replace the CD/DVD drive with said SSD drive. I would be using this drive in particular if that helps any.

Re: 3.5-Inch to x2 SSD / 2.5-Inch Internal Hard Drive Mounting Kit
Hello,
Please refer to page 6 of the QuickSpecs provided earlier for SSD support by the server natively. The SSDs might need the hard drive cage kit so that they can be installed in the server and possiibly not straight away sit in the media cage. If the proposed third party solution provides this capability of holding the drives in place, then it may be possible. To be certain if the solution would house the hard drive and fix in the media cage, please contact the thrid party vendor for confirmation.
