358348-B21 1GB PC2700 DDR
Have seen another thread here on the forum that explains the "wrong part in box" problem from HP with different assembly numbers.
Ex.
331562-041 with 331562-051 Will Not Work
331562-041 with 331562-041 Will Work
331562-051 with 331562-051 Will Work.
Is there a reason why they dont work in mixed pairs ? They should all be the same memory ?
What is "standard" pre-installed memory from HP ?
Is it the -041 or -051 ?
Thanks for any help as I am New on the Forum!
Looks like there is a lot of "fuzz" regarding the New G4 memory!
Ex.

331562-041 with 331562-041 Will Work

Re: 358348-B21 1GB PC2700 DDR
Hi again,
as per my message to the other thread, there have been instances of memory appearing as HP whereas it has not originated form HP. Immediate action should be to log a service call and send high-res pictures of the memory to check authenticity.
rgds,
Rob
