Re: Adapter 1 - HPE FlxFbrc 10Gb 4p 536FLR-T Adptr high temp reading on ilo
Hello reji_p
As per the threshold settings, the caution level is set at 100C. Considering this, the temparature is within the threshold.
However, we request you to share the OS version & build ID, Firmware version & driver version of the 536FLR-T adapter so that we can recommend further steps if this temparature is not normal.
Thank you

Re: Adapter 1 - HPE FlxFbrc 10Gb 4p 536FLR-T Adptr high temp reading on ilo
Hello regi_p
Thank you for sharing the information.
The driver version of the 536FLR-T adapter.
We recommend to verify the driver for compatibility with the firmware version installed. It is recommended to check the VMware compatibility matrix to verify the driver & firmware combination on a server running ESXi OS.
We recommend to downgrade the firmware version of 536FLR-T adapter to the following version combo image v7.17.19
Link to download the firmware version:
https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=MTX_75b2b61b8c1a4b58b59be8a0e8#tab4
This could be due to firmware & driver mismatch.
Downgrade the firmware as recommended & verify the status of the sever
Keep us updated.
Thank you

Re: Adapter 1 - HPE FlxFbrc 10Gb 4p 536FLR-T Adptr high temp reading on ilo
And temp sitting at 80-81 C is this a good sign ?
The HPE support asked me to downgrade to this. Yours is older than this which one to use ?
Version:
1.25.11(12 Aug 2019)
Dear Regi,
This is an important email regarding your HPE support case 5345565594.
Please follow the below action plan and let us know the status of the server.
Action plan 1: Set the cooling option on increased cooling.
Action plan 2 : If the issue still persist downgrade the version using the below link.
https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=MTX_55d72ecfd98540b5b9aac0bcec#tab3

Re: Adapter 1 - HPE FlxFbrc 10Gb 4p 536FLR-T Adptr high temp reading on ilo
Hi regi_p
As mentioned in my initial response, 85C is within the threshold which is 100C. However, since there is an issue identified with the firmware version of the 536FLR-T & 530 adapters, we recommend to bring its firmware to the version as mentioned in the Advisory.
https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=emr_na-a00052011en_us
Write back with an update.
Thank you
