Hello,
I have a HP ProLiant ML350 Gen10 server that has been running well for at least 2.5 years now, but it has come to the point where I need to add more storage space.
Currently there is an existing Smart Array setup with 3 logical drives (C,D,E). I would like to add a new drive into this existing array and add the new space onto an existing logical drive (D).
Firstly, is this possible with the ML350 Gen10? If so, how would I go about doing this? Where can I buy the disk?
Many thanks in advance for any help given.
Sanchan

Re: add more disk spaces for HP ProLiant ML350 Gen10 server
Hi,
we need to know what Raid Kontroller is installed.
If it is a Pxxx with a Battery Cache Module, you can simply add the same Drive and do an Online extension if there is a Drive Slot free in the Row.
If not, it's not possible without Backup & Restore.
Providing Screen Shots from iLO > Hardware > Storage will help.

Hi
For the controller type, we have HPE Smart Array.
How to insert a screenshot on the post field?
Thanks,
Sandra

Re: add more disk spaces for HP ProLiant ML350 Gen10 server
Hello,
I would request you share the SA controller information for further investigation.
Please refer page 78 for the details of the supported drives
https://h20195.www2.hpe.com/v2/GetDocument.aspx?docname=a00021852enw
Please find the Steps to extend logical drive via Smart Storage Administrator
>> login to the Smart Storage Administrator
>> select the controller on the left
>> select configure
>> select the Array
>> click on the logical drive D
>> select the extend logical drive option ( On the right)
>> select the maximum size
>> click OK
Alternatively, please refer page 74, 76 for the instructions to extend logical drive via SSA CLI
https://www.itcreations.com/user-manuals/DL80G9/HPE-Smart-Storage-Administrator-User-Guide.pdf
The part can be ordered via: https://parts.hpe.com/Hpparts/Default.aspx?mscssid=64E7DF44219C45CB9398F32312934A7E&cc=US&lang=EN
