Adding an IDE hard drive to the IDE cd-rom cable of a ProLiant ML370 G2
I need to move some data around on the Ultra Wide Scsi drives setup with RAID. In order to do so, I would like to install a large IDE hard drive on the cd-rom cable and copy the necessary data over from the Scsi hard drive to the IDE hard drive. Will the system still boot from the the Windows 2000 server installed on the Scsi drives and allow me access to the Scsi hard drive? Do I need to set anything in BIO or with primary/secondary jumper settings on the hard drive? Any help would be appreciated!
