additional Array on a ML350 G5 with E200i
have problems to set up an additional array.
I have an ProLiant ML350 G5 with a Smart Array E200i.
Two array (A and B) are present. Both fitted with Raid 1.
two disk 70GB for array A and two disk 300GB for array B.
Now I want to configure two existing disk 450GB to an additional array C, also Raid1.
I could make the configuration in the online- “array config utility” but when I reboot the server
he gets array error message an cant start. Then I have taken out the two disc so that it starts again.
Why cant I make a additional array?

Re: additional Array on a ML350 G5 with E200i
Several disk models may have a problem with the firmware when used with a E200.
What disk model and firmware do you have?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Check if the version is printed on the disk label.
Hope this helps!
