Hi All,

i am facing problem since last 2 months my HP Proliant DL580 G5 server is restarting on every week, i have windows 2003 32 OS. i checked this issue on website. it is showing i need to updgrade HP Proliant software and BIOS version to 8.30. but my question is if i am upgrading BIOS then my Array configuration and OS will not work properly. how can i do this do i need to install OS again?

you don't need to reinstall the system,

if you update the firmware and drivers of the server.

Your problem might be caused by an issue with the iLO2 Management Controller Driver and the iLO2 firmware as documented in the following customer advisory.
