Blank RIM console after build
After successfully installing Windows 2000 Advanced server through the unattended method on a DL380, DL360, and DL320 I am experiencing bizarre RIM card behaviour. At least I'm hoping it's not normal ...
advanced server installs properly, but upon completion I am unable to use the mouse (DL360 and DL320) and the keyboard (DL320). This also occurs with NT installations, but after a couple of reboots control comes back with NT. With Advanced Server, after a reboot the insight manager client only displays a blank grey box. "Server Information" Status indicates that the server is in 80x0 text mode (should be 80x25 if in true Dos, yes?) or in graphics mode. For a very brief split-second a message about "Login: 43hfoihffhfwehoe (something)" appears, then it all turns grey. Booting to a Dos 6.22 virtual floppy doesn't change anything (except Text vs. graphics mode).
Is there something unusual or additional that needs to be done to get Windows 2000 installed to work with REmote insight?
Thanks for any assistance.
Corrie

Re: Blank RIM console after build
Did you load our Win2K SupportPaq (or NT 4.0 SSD/SupportPaq on the 4.0 system)? Do you have the keyboard/mouse pass-thru cable firmly attached inside the system?
