Bus Master Conflict?
Parts list for HPE/Compaq ML750 lists PC Board (Interface)
127695-291
Smart Array 431 Controller with 16MB cache - PCI to Single
Channel, Wide Ultra3, SCSI Adapter (Japan) (B21 Rest of world)
and
401858-001 3-Channel Ultra2 array 4250ES controller for SCSI drive array
Both descibed as Bus Master's
Some types of buses allow only one device (typically the CPU, or its proxy) to initiate transactions. Most
modern bus architectures, such as PCI, allow multiple devices to bus master because it significantly
improves performance for general-purpose operating systems.
So I assume this is the case with Windows servers/ML750.
Thaks

Re: Bus Master Conflict?
Hello,
Please refer to last paragraph at section "SCSI Hard Drive Installation Guidelines" on page 4-27 of the "ProLiant ML750 Servers Setup and Installation Guide" and see if it helps.
