Can I replace a non-failure driver on-line?

Hi,

I want to preventively replace the drive. How can I replace the preventively driver by new driver?

My Raid Card is P816i-a SR Gen10 on DL380 G10+. The Array is RAID6.

Hello,
if you want to replace a disk as a precaution, then simply pull it out and insert the new one.
The P816 RAID controller should automatically start the rebuild on the new disk.

Hi Cali,

Thank your reply. I know this method, but I want to know if there is any other way?
It is safer to copy it to a new disk and then replace it.

I have done this for years, don't know any other way.
You can define the new as Spare and insert ahead.
Maybe someone else.
