Can't boot on Proliant 530 G2
Hello
I have copied Win2000 Server files on a RAID 1 partition and when rebooting, I had just one message :Attempting to boot on C: drive
If I try to boot on a floppy disk, I can read the C: drive with its boot.ini, ntldr,... files.
The smart array Card 5300 is declared as first boot controller.
Does anyone could help me ??

Re: Can't boot on Proliant 530 G2
Does this only happen on warm reboots? Do you get some kind of a blue screen?
There was a problem with the DL380 G3's that if you had the card in a certain slot, Win2K would hang when doing a reboot. A firmware upgrade for the server was released and that solved it. I haven't heard of this problem on any other servers.

Re: Can't boot on Proliant 530 G2
No, this issue appeared just after the first reboot when all W2K files have been copied on C: drive.

Re: Can't boot on Proliant 530 G2
I've never seen that problem. Have you tried running a system erase and starting over?
