I'm trying to boot a ProLiant ML350 G4 on an EIDE 130GB drive. I've removed the RAID card and unplugged the power from the RAID drive bay to simplify the environment. I'm running W2K server and once windows attempts to reload for the first time during the install, I get an error saying no boot partition can be found. Is there a setting somewhere that I'm missing that tells the box to boot to the EIDE drive?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
.....Jim

SolutionHi Jim,
As per my understanding ProLiant servers do not support IDE Hard Drives. The IDE (ATAPI) interface provided in ProLiant servers, supports only Optical Drives.
The ATAPI is used for devices like optical, tape and removable storage drives.

Re: Can't get ProLiant ML350 G4 to see boot disk
Thanks Suman_AN.....that would explain a lot. I'll add the RAID card back and grab my bag of fairy dust and see if i can get a drive seen in there and maybe get this thing booting.
Thanks again........Jim
