COMPAQ DLT 4000 TAPE DRIVE

NT CANNOT DETECT MY DLT 4000 INTERNAL TAPE DRIVE. HARDWARE IS RECOGNIZED AT BOOT UP AND I HAVE THE CORRECT DRIVER BUT STILL IT IS NOT DETECTED.
ANY IDEAS?

Yes, I completely removed the SCSI adaptec controller and reinstalled the Adaptec 2940uw driver and now the drive is recognized. I guess NT just did not see the Adaptec during the original install.

This Adaptec is an add-in controller and not part of the built in 2-channel array controller. Hope this helps!

What controller did you remove ?
What driver where you loading ?
