Compaq Proliant 400 Mainboard
The thermo control of our proliant 400 server is damaged. Does anyone know where we can get a new (second hand) one? Or a new (second hand) mainboard ? Maybe a thermo control of another proliant server 1600, 3200 does fit as well.
It's urgent! Thanxx for any advice.

Re: Compaq Proliant 400 Mainboard
Hello :)
Well, try ebay.... Find the p/n and try googling it.
You can try on www.tomtech.de
Another possibility is to open a case by HP and to buy it...

Re: Compaq Proliant 400 Mainboard
Hi Axel,
I have attached the Proliant 400 spare parts listing to this reply.
Please be aware that the correct system board and feature board depends on the CPU speed (PII or PIII systems). There is a table at the bottom of the attached document to help you understand which system board you will have. If you also check the system serial number (12 characters) you will see that characters 5,6,7,8 of the serial number determine the configuration code which can also be used to confirm things in this table.
Can you please explain a little clearer what exactly your problem is? Do you get beep codes or error codes on the screen?
How do you know it's a thermal issue?
Is it simply a fan problem?
If you can provide more detail I'm sure someone will be able to help further.
I hope this helps.
Brian
