Compaq Proliant 7000, 2 and 3 drive bays not configured
Hi guys, keep buying these fun toys!
I've had my 7000 for a few months now, but decided to add hard drives to the 2nd and 3rd drive bays, to find that they connect directly to the motherboard and are not discovered through smartstart that I'm aware of. I have the 1st drive bay connected, as a port acting as external, with a scsi cable connecting it to a 2dh controller card, that's internal. What is the problem? Do I need to disconnect the 2nd and 3rd drive cables and insert 2 more controller cards for them to be controlled? Please let me know. I'll be working on it all night, for fun, not work. Thanks for the feedback ahead of time.
