What 450 or higher processors can I replace my original with? How much do they cost for K-12 educational facility? Must they come from Compaq? What processor requirements are there? Do they all come with builtin heat shielding? Thanks.

What specific model of Proliant 1600 do you have now?

Technical Support can't give you prices, but a Compaq CPU kit will include everything you need, while an "off-the-shelf" Intel CPU kit will not include a power module or heatsink.

Have you looked at the K-12 GEM pages, or called into GEM sales for information?
