CR3500 Controller
Installing W2K Adv Srv on CL380
Order of Install
W2K Adv Srv via SmartStart 5.0
W2K Service Pack 2
Compaq Support for Windows 2000
Followed instructions from Compaq and Microsoft concerning install.
Node 1...SCSI ID 6 Node 2...SCSI ID 7
Problem(s):
Node 2 does not have the CR3500 listed under Other Devices in Device Manager.
Error message in Event Viewer (System) on Node 2:
Source: cpq32fs2 EventID 5 Description A parity error was detected on \Device\Scsi\cpq32fs21

Does node 1 see the shared storage? Did you change the scsi id for port one the 64bit scsi controller? If answer is yes to both, try swapping cables. Take the top off the sahred storage and ckeck the 2 blue scsi cables that connect from isolator board to backplane. Check all cables for bent pins.Try moving the cable connection from node 1 at the scsi card and connect it to node 2 and see if it see shared storage. You may want to call tech support. Ask to speak to clustering team.
