Creative Storage Problem
System:
Compaq ML350 1st Generation. Internal backplane with 4 hotplug drive bays each occupied by a harddrive. Two internal media bays which are occupied by nothing. Compaq 532 raid card. The card has one internal and one external channel. The internal channel is plugged into internal backplane. The external channel is unused. All current hardware is Wide Ultra2/3 compatible.
Problem:
I need too add two more hard drives too the raid card. Is there someway I can connect install hard drives in the media bays and connect them too the external SCSI channel on the raid card? I know the correct answer is too buy a raid card with two internal channels but I don't want too. I want too utilize the external channel for something. Does anyone know of a cabling solution that will do this?
I really want answers that don't require the purchase of raid or storage hardware, however I will entertain them. Has compaq ever made like a 6 or 8 drive external storage enclosure?

Re: Creative Storage Problem
Hi, i think the best way for you is, you buy a external storage enclosure (UE1) (7xHDD Hot Plug), from e.g. E-Bay. I think that is the best solution.
