DIMM indicator light is on.
Insight management said the DIMM serial number was corrected.
The server is barely 2 months old. It's not been opened or changed in any way since it was put into production.
Any idea what gives? And if there's no problem, how would I go about making the indicator light go out?

Re: DIMM indicator light is on.
Well, try updating the Bios at first. Install the latest PSP. Reboot the servers - sometimes there are wrong messages.
Can you post the exact error message? It could really be a failed DIMM module

Re: DIMM indicator light is on.
Hello Swade,
I would suggest steps :
1.Update bios firmware to latest.
2.Reseat memory card.
3.Amber led in front panel of the server or next to Dim.
2.Swapp memory slots to check if issue follows memory card or the slot on the systemboard or memoryboard.
And accordingly call hp tech support and get the required part replaced and also in case of memory card failure get the part no on the memory card eg: XXXXXX-XXX.
Cheers:)

Re: DIMM indicator light is on.
Rebooting solved the issue.
The message in the log said that the serial number of the DIMM had changed. ???? I don't know how that's possible after a month.
Anyway, all is good for about 1 week now.
