a paging operation.
what does this means and what are the steps to take inorder to curb this.

i take it that u r running Win2K sp3 since i do not think win2003 sp3 (let along sp2) is not out yet.

SolutionCould you confirm that the disks referenced in the error message are running the latest Firmware? If not, could you try and upgrade them to the latest FW level and see if the error goes away? Is your shared storage subsystem really busy at a particular time especially when this message gets logged? Does this happen periodically?

BTW, this error indicates there is some kind of data transfer problem ( either due to some problem in the HDD itself, or because of the interface to which you have connected it) with your HDD.
