Disk LED Activity
DL380 G5, three spindles in a logical container.
Should the LED lights be on solid and then flash when there is activity ?
Had a look at the LED combo page and it appears that solid is 'online but not active', does that mean ok ?
I ask because we have a ml370 g5 that is mirrored but the led's are not on all the time.
I cannot see any heavy io but just want to make sure.
Regards
Ed

Re: Disk LED Activity
But the 370 with two disks and a mirror does not behave like that i.e. off all the time with lights flashing to indicate io.
Same disk type/controller but different systems.
Thankyou for you prompt reply though !

Re: Disk LED Activity
I am afraid I cannot update drivers/apps without jumping through hoops of change control.
I have sent the current array reports to hp support but they simply say there is nothing to worry about.
Does anyone have a 380 in front of them and can see if the disk lights stay on more than off even when idle ?
I am used to io lights being on when used but perhaps being part of an array simply means that they are lit to indicate the array is good and online ?
