DL 360 & Citrix

I am attempting to install Citrix Metaframe XP on a G2 server with dual 1.4Ghz processors running Windows 2000 SP2 with the latest version of Compaq Support software installed. When I run the Metaframe installation, I get a blue screen during the installation with a message that a CPQCI??? disk driver. Any ideas on what is causing this?

Re: DL 360 & Citrix

Hi

The driver causing the problem is probably CPQCIDRV.SYS

This driver is the driver for the ILO ( Integrated Light Out card )

To install Metaframe without blue screening, you have to disable the Ilo card under the Windows 2000 Device Manager .

Onece you have installed and configured Metaframe ( Connection manager etc ... ) , you can reactivate the Ilo Card

Re: DL 360 & Citrix

Thanks for the information, I worked on it this morning and at first was looking in services for that driver which it is not, once I figured out where it was - things fell into place. Thanks for the advise - I got everything working today.

This also worked on a dual 2.8Ghz, DL-380G3 w/MetaFrame XPe.

Thanks,
Mike
