DL 360 G4. problem with SCSI...
I just unboxed a new 360 G4, installed 2 146 GB U320 SCSI drives and booted the server up with the SmartStart CD (7.60) that came with it. SmartStart tells me that there are no available drives connected to the 6i array controller. When the server is first turned on the drives flash a green light which goes out. When I get to the configuring screen for the controller in Smartstart, both drives have an amber light on. Is this a sign of a bad array controller. Attached is a saved report from Smartstart.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: DL 360 G4. problem with SCSI...
The amber light will flash when you select array in ACU - it's OK. SmartStart tells you that you have no drives attached because most probably the SA-6i is not set as a boot controller. You can set it as boot controller using RBSU (F9 before boot process begins), or using ORCA (F8 key when SA-6i finishes initializing process).

Re: DL 360 G4. problem with SCSI...
Thanks for advice! But the SA-6i already is set as a boot controller.
There can be other decision of my problem?
