Yes, if you re-install the PSP the unknown device will disappear, I have a procedure to do so, long (about 30 min) but really effective.

Re-installing the drivers in the server with the SMART start CD

1. Uninstall SNMP
â ¢ Control panel
â ¢ Add/remove programs
â ¢ Add/remove windows components
â ¢ Management and monitoring tools
â ¢ Uncheck SNMP
â ¢ Uncheck WNI SNMP provider
2. Uninstall VCA
â ¢ Control panel
â ¢ Add/remove programs
â ¢ Remove HP VCA
3. Uninstall everything that says HP
â ¢ Control panel
â ¢ Add/remove programs
â ¢ Remove everything that starts with HP
4. Restart server
5. Install SNMP
â ¢ control panel
â ¢ Add/remove programs
â ¢ Add/remove windows components
â ¢ Check SNMP
â ¢ Check WMI SNMP provider
â ¢ Browse from windows CD the folder I386
6. Configure SNMP
â ¢ my computer-manage
â ¢ services and applications
â ¢ services
â ¢ look for SNMP
â ¢ properties
â ¢ trabs tap (add)
i. public/127.0.0.1
ii. public/localhost
iii. private/127.0.0.1
iv. private/localhost

â ¢ Security tab (add)
i. Public/read write
ii. Private/read write
7. Install PSP
â ¢ From SSCD or hp.com
â ¢ Software tab
â ¢ Choose install psp (proliant support pack) express for your windows edition
