DL320 G5 - Embedded SATA RAID
Any known issues with installing Windows 2008 R2 x64 using PSP 8.7 CD smartstart and the embedded SATA RAID?
I have no issues installing Windows 2008, always get a degraded SATA RAID array after install... no issues installing to single disk...
Using the embedded SATA RAID... what would be the proper steps to install a new OS on this system?
1) do I create the RAID array first and then install? This is what I have don and get the array degraded.
2) do i install the OS and then create an array?
Any information leading to either proper steps or if any has found that this controller has issue with Server 2008?
Regards,

Re: DL320 G5 - Embedded SATA RAID
Hi,
Visit http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/windows/index.html
Choose the Operating System and then choose "Previous Servers" to see DL320 G5
It looks like this server does not support Windows 2008 R2 x64.
You may get some help/idea here at this link though its for HP ProLiant DL320 G5p Server Series

Good Luck!
