DL360 power on problem

HP ProLiant DL360 G3

The system board is replaced, and when trying to power on the server nothing happens.
When plugging in the power the fans starts. But nothing happens when pressing the Power button.
The "Internal Health LED" is red.
The manual says "Red=System critical. Refer to system board LEDs to identify component in critical state".

I`ve looked at the "System Board LEDs" overview. The only LED on is number 1, "Interlock LED".

The actions I`ve tried is:
-Reseat CPU-fan
-Reseat RAM
-Reseat voltage regulator

Does anyone got any other suggestions what to try?

Re: DL360 power on problem

Hi,

Details about the leds

Amber = System interlock open
Off = System interlock OK

Looks like a refixing problem with the box nothing else. Try to check by refixing the chassi and system board.

Re: DL360 power on problem

we had one "DOA" were the CPU wasn't correctly seated.
if the cpuis stuck to the heatsink it is hard to place the CPU correctly in its socket
try reseatng the cpu without heatsink first

Re: DL360 power on problem

Just tried remove the systemboard, and then reseated.
Also checked that the cpu not was stuck on the cpu, but I used a new heatsink when replacing the systemboard.

Re: DL360 power on problem

Problem solved.
The server got hotswap-power supply.
Because of that a jumper had to be set to "On".

Re: DL360 power on problem

Hi,

If you have a redundant power supply , don't forget to set the switch S4 on SW1.
The position is on if a second power supply is installed.
