DL360 W2K Upgrade to Dual Processors
With this particular server and OS is there any other requirement (aside from updating the driver from Uniprocessor ACPI to Multiprocessor ACPI) to consider?
Upgrading from single P3 1.13Ghz to Dual P3 1.13Ghz
Thanks

Re: DL360 W2K Upgrade to Dual Processors
Just make sure the BIOS is up to date and the APIC mode in the BIOS is set to auto
There’s your problem!!! This thing is set to EVIL!

Re: DL360 W2K Upgrade to Dual Processors
Hi,
I would perform the following:
1.Upgrade the SYSTEM BIOS to the latest
2.Confirm that the make and speed of the second CPU is same as the first one.
3.Install the Multiprocessor driver for Windows.
Hope this helps and don't forget to assign points:)
