DL360 with MR408i-o array order
I have a DL360 gen11 with the MR408i-o with two arrays. The first array has two 480gb SSD's in RAID 1 and the second is a group of five 1tb drives in RAID 5.
The issue is the order the drives are presented to Server 2022. I created the mirror first, used Intelligent Provisioning to install Server 2022 and all is good. I then went back to the MR utilities and created the second array. I booted into Windows again and when I took a look in disk manager for the new drive it was assigned as Drive 0. It pushed the mirror to drive 1.
I think this is because the second array is listed in the Logical Drive Management menu as "logical drive 238" and the mirror is listed as "logical drive 239". I have the 239 array (mirror) set as the boot array so it boots fine but server 2022 see's it as drive 1.
I don't know if this is really an issue but would like to address it before putting this server into production.
Is there a way to change the order of the drives in the controller so Windows see's the drives in the proper order? By the way, I have already gone back in and deleted the second array. Then re-created it, and same thing.
