DL360G3 sliding rails how to?

Hello

I have a couple of DL360G3 to mount into an HP rack (no reference yet)

However I am having a hard trying to figure out how the sliding rails fits on the server and on the rack.

Where is the documentation on how to mount the sliding rails, on the server and on the rack?

Thanks

Rgds

Re: DL360G3 sliding rails how to?

The documentation was originally, supplied in the box.

1. A quick deploy poster.

2. On the documentation CD.

It might also be described in the Service and Maintenance manual.

I have tried to search the web for you with no luck.

I can't remember the G3 rails.

Is it with a blue latch on the middle?

In general. The rail kit, is divided into 2 parts on each side.

1. The part that click onto the server.

There's 3 - 4 holes in the rail, wich round with a slice. On the server there's a equal number of mounting knops.

You place the rail, with the knops through the holes. Push in on the rail, and slide it towards the front, untill it lock with a click.

Note: Slide towards the front, as far as I remember. Check your self.

2. The rail, with extensions. There's a locking mechanism, that has to be unlocked. Once unlocked you can extend the rails. and plug it in the holes. And then lock it.

Extend the rails as far as possible. Push the server in the rails, it will lock when it's partly in. There's anothe lock, that has to be pushed, to fully push in the server.

It would be easier to help you if you could post a picture of the rails.
