DL360P GEN8 cannot boot when smart array set to RAID mode, but HBA mode can boot normally

Hi all,

I have one DL360P GEN8 and already update to latest firmware include system ROM, iLO4, smart array, NIC, etc.

but now my server cannot boot when smart array set to RAID mode, but HBA mode can boot normally.

It will stuck in smart array P420i screen.

I can create array in SSA, but when i create logical unit it fail.

Anyone can help me? Thanks

Hi

Gen8 controller P420 does not have an option to switch to HBA mode in SSA.
However, it can be down using CLI. Here is the process:

I would recommend you to reverse the same using the same command with switch 'hbsmode=off'
Then reboot and reconfigure the array in with RAID and test.
