DL380 G5 Pci-e vs Pci-x
We have a number of DL380 g5's that we are upgrading. The expansion cage will have 2 dual port GB ethernet cards and one HP-Lsi U320 controller running at U160 to an external Promise shared array. Some machines have a NC7170 Pcx-x, HP-Lsi U320 Pci-x, and a NC380T Pci-e in the riser, as we upgrade more machines would we get better thruput by having the riser all Pci-e slots? ie 2xNC380T and a HP-Lsi U320 of the Pci-e version. We already have the cards for the mixed Pci-x Pci-e solution but would change to all Pci-e if there would be a significant increase in thruput.
Thanks!
