DL380 g6 - ILO 2 - How to get the mac of an inserted PCI NIC

Hi there, I have a DL380 G6 which I have installed a supported HP quad port NIC into. Ive been trying to figure out a way of getting the MAC address of the ports on my newly inserted NIC, but I cant seem to find it under /system1. I dont have an OS on this machine yet, so cannot use OS level tools, im trying to do all this from the hpiLO-> prompt

Is this information retrievable from the ILO prompt ? or will it only show information regarding the native hardware ?

any help would be greatly appreciated

Unfortunately this cannot be pulled from iLO. Perhaps you could script a virtual media connection to the server, then use SmartStart or another bootable CD to retrieve the MAC?

Perhaps there is the possibility to use the ILO graphical interface to view NICs data, but i don't remember exactly...

Consider to install an OS or just boot a smartstart CD in order to get this information.

ive managed to get the information from another box that happens to be on the same network as the ILO interface of my new box.

/opt/HPQilo/bin/cpqlocfg -s 172.0.xxx.xxx -u Administrator -p XXG9GXXX -f /opt/get_hostdata.xml
