DL380 Gen10 1 - New mainboard HPE replaced - No disks on any raid controller.
Hey Folks,
Maybe I am missing something really fundamental here but we had an HPE tech out to replace a motherboard in one of our DL380 replication hosts. Came in this morning to check it out, hooked the SAS cabling back up to the 408's in the back and tried to use SSA/Intelligent Provisioning to check the RAID volumes on the embedded and PCIe controllers. None of the controllers see disks. Not even the embedded one which should at least see the two SSD's mounted in the front containing the OS. I've checked the obvious, updated firmware in OneView. Anyone have anything else for me?

Re: DL380 Gen10 1 - New mainboard HPE replaced - No disks on any raid controller.
You need to first check the Mini SAS Cabling if it is well connected from the backplane to the controller and if you have access to the Server then reseat them.
Reseat the P408i Controller and Check the LED status of the connected drives in front.
For S100i SATA Controller by default it would be in AHCI Mode once the System Board is replaced you need to enable SW RAID Support from BIOS to Re-enable the Controller if the OS Disks were created as RAID 1. Then the Drives and Controller will be seen in the OS.
On parallel, I would suggest opening up a case with HPE Support with An Entire AHS Log.

Solid copy,
Wilco on checking the ACHI/RAID settings in EFI menu.
Will need to travel onsite to check the MiniSAS cabling.
Will report back with results.
