DL380 Gen10 hosts all throwing Overtemp from Sensor 12 shutdown errors after update
I recently updated all my VMWare hosts to the current service pack and since then they've all been having an issue with an erroneous overtemp error causing shutdown (had to shut off automatic shutdown in bios). The error is new (have not seen it before this update) and is clearly a read issue (temps go from near ambient to 127 then back to ambient in minutes).
That appears to be an HDD related sensor - all the drives in these machines are HPE OEM drives (no aftermarket)
EVENT (16-Dec-2024 01:50): System Overheating (Temperature Sensor 12, Location System, Temperature 127)
ACTION: Check fans, processor heat sink and air baffles installation.
Integrated Management Log Severity:CAUTION

Re: DL380 Gen10 hosts all throwing Overtemp from Sensor 12 shutdown errors after update
Hello,
This would require deeper log analysis to check which sensor is pointing to which hardware device.
Please log a case with HPE support for more assistance on this.
HPE Support Center.
Thanks,

Need to log a case once we're back from break.
