DL380 Gen10 reboot loop at POST after inserted Dialogic D240JCT-T1 PCIe board

We are using HP ProLiant DL380 Gen10 Server to install an new IVR server.

However, the HP server go into a reboot loop at POST after we inserted a Dialogic D240JCT-T1 PCIe board.

It has a flash of red on Health led after "Starting required devices." message, then reboot.

Our HP ProLiant DL380 Gen10 Server has been upgraded to System ROM U30 v3.00 (10/19/2023).

The Dialogic D240JCT-T1 PCIe board. is working normal at the existing Lenovo Server.

Hello,

To isolate the issue, it would be recommended to first remove this card and check if the server boots without any issue.

If is able to do so, then ensure that the card has been installed along with the required power to it, as per its power requirements.

If the issue persists even after removing the card, then clear the server's NVRAM. To do so, you may perform the following:

  • Power off the server and remove the power cable from the server and remove the access panel.
  • You may refer to item 2 of the diagram "System board components" in the HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 Server User Guide for the location of the system maintenance switch on the system board.
  • Once identified, set switch 'S6' from its default Off to On and replace the access panel, connect the power cable and then power on the server.
  • If the process is successfull, you would see message to the effect that one of the system maintenance switch is in On position and needs to be turned to off position. Then, power off the server, remove the power cable and then reverse the switch S6's position to off, replace the access panel, connect the power cables and power on the server.

@TVVJ The server can boot successful after the Dialogic card removed.

We cannot do the NVRAM clearing to test as the server is provided and installed by another vendor.
