Dl380/gen10 Smart Array P408i plain text to encrypted conversion live ?

I'm using a P408i array with some array-encrypted volumes.  

Is it possible to convert a plain-text volume to encrypted while keeping the host OS online?

Something as simple as "ctrl slot=0 ld 1 encode preservedata=yes"

Also, do I need to configure the master key and enable encryption on the individual controller, or will it pick up those credentials automatically.

This is using the ssacli CLI utility on a DL380/gen10
