DL380 Gen10 Uncorrectable PCI Express Error Detected. Slot """255"""

Dears,

 I have DL380 Gen10 server updated to latest SPP  .9/2109.

the server crashed many times with with no specific HW failure only BIOS degraded note!!  and the next IML messages,  even I dont know where is that slot 255?? which have the issues? 

your help is appreciated

Hi,

Please see the recommendations below:

Update BIOS rom to latest - 2.22_11-13-2019(18 Nov 2019) (Please refer the rivision history for fixes),

Recommended to change the workload profile to HPC-high performance computing or Virtulization Max performance. and check the status.

And for 

"PCI Bus Uncorrectable PCI Express Error Detected. Slot 255 (Segment 0x0, Bus 0x5D, Device 0x1, Function 0x0)"

"Bus 0x5D, Device 0x1, Function 0x0"==> Need to decode and check to which device its pointing.

Please try to to check PCI device properties or nvme drive properties incase its matching .

If identified, try to update the the firmware.

After my last post I did upgrade the system to  Bios Version: 2.16_09-12-2019 (26 Sep 2019) , which was recommended,  I will keep monitoring the server, in case of any panic , will do upgrade to newest FW.

not yet, still have the  server crash every couble of weeks, will check the HW withe HPE Support!!

this issue has been totally vanished after upgrade system BIOS to VER: U30_2.30_02_11_2020.

tow months and the sever  is   stable , no more crashes.
