DL380 Gen11 -Oneview times out when deploying OS Drivers/Software - Server 2025

Hello. I am wondering if any of you have any advice for my situation.

My Issue: While using Oneview to update the SPP on a server, it will not install any of the OS drivers/software from any SPP but firmware deploys just fine. Manually checking the status of the OS drivers/software items in the iLO queue or checking via cmd with sut /status shows the OS/Driver items in the state of "after previous tasks are executed".  The status never changes and after a few hours and eventually it fails. The "Previous tasks" in question are firmware related and show as completed successfully.

My Goal: Install only the necessary software needed to allow for OneView to update the server as needed with the latest SPP. I have installed AMS and ISUT to allow communication between iLO and OneView and am able to update the firmware using Oneview without issue.

Details: I set OneView to install the a higher version SPP and selected the "install the Firmware and OS Drivers" setting within OneView like I do for other servers. When checking the "installation queue" within the ilo of my dl380 Gen11 server, I see all of the firmware deployed OK, and I see all of the software updates with a status of "after previous tasks are executed" Eventually it just times out in OneView. I have tried the newest SPP and the issue persists.

Other details:

OS: Server 2025 Standard Desktop Experience

Hardware: DL380 Gen 11

SPP - Deploying via OneView - Service pack for HPE ProLiant Gen11 2025.03.00.00, I have also tried the newest SPP (Service pack for HPE ProLiant Gen11 2025.05.00.00 )with OneView and the issue persists

iSUT and AMS - have uninstalled and reinstalled manually as a local administrator, issue persists. Both Installed from the SPP 2025.03.00.00

SUT is set for Autodeployreboot .

All drivers are already installed for Server 2025 from SPP 2025.03.00.00

Hi @Jim9872 ,

Hope this helps!

Please try this steps:

1. Ensure that you have installed supported version of iSUT for Gen11 Servers. Click here to know about supported version of iSUT.

2. Try configuring SUT mode to 'AutoStage'

3. Try using Smart Update Manager (SUM) or SUT manually: SSH or open a console session, install the SPP locally and run launch_sum.sh. Add your node, select the SPP and Deploy drivers - this bypasses the oneView's queue and ensures tasks are executed.

Please refer this Videos and Guide related to SUM
