DL380 Gen8 motherboard issue
Hi Folks,
Looking for some information if possible on the DL380 Gen 8 motherboard. I have purchased 4 of these servers and it seems that the motherboards differ slightly, 2 have heatsinks on the vrm,s etc and 2 do not have any on the vrm's and some other chips which i would normally think should always be the case, would this be correct or are they faulty.?.....personally i would expect to see heatsinks on VRM's at least. Any information would be appreciated.... the board part number is 801939-001 which i have tried to find from support pages and google but nothing goes into much details to be honest.
Cheers

Re: DL385 Gen8 motherboard issue
Hello,
The part number "801939-001" is that of "HPE ProLiant DL380p Gen8 Server". You may refer to the "HPE ProLiant DL380p Gen8 Server - Spare Parts" page, item 24 for more information. The voltage regulator modules are not present in the way described above.

Re: DL385 Gen8 motherboard issue
Hi there, not to sure what you mean? i did look at the support page to find some information and had already viewed that document which does not mention anything of the VRM's, The vrm's are embedded on the motherboard beside the 2 processor lots, thank you for your input and yes it is for the DL380 apologies and ill edit my post....thank again.
