DL380 OS Disks cannot boot up

Hi All,

We are having a mirror using disk array. We normally break mirror and in this instance, we have booted from slot 1 and it worked. We tried to revert to slot 0 the following day and then it would not boot. We then tried to revert back to the slot 1 and boot up and it also does not boot.

As of now, the 2 disks cannot be booted up and 1 disk could not be detected by the hardware (ACU). How is this possible? Could there be a problem with the pressing of F1 and F2 (interim recovery mode) sequence in which the array configuration was lost or corrupted? Should be be a problem with disk? ACU?

I know that it happened to my colleague before and I am guessing that it was the same thing. Can someone enlighten me on this?

TIA,
James

Hi James,

you break mirror in wich way? Using the scripting toolkit or removing the second hard-drive?
