We are missing 0.5 GB of the 4GB installed memory in a DL380-G4 system (3.2GHz) under Windows (which reports 3.5 GB, just like the HP/Compaq Diagnostics with the remark with memstats.dll).
The memory slots are filled with:
slot 1: 512 MB
slot 2: 512 MB
slot 3: 512 MB
slot 4: 512 MB
slot 5: 1024 MB
slot 6: 1024 MB
Is this a known issue? Is there a way to get back this remaining part by setting/changing/configuring/updating something?
With kind regards,
Eric Krieger

Re: DL380G4 Missing 0.5Gb of memory
You might need the /PAE switch in the boot.ini
