Re: DL380G5 and HP LSI Ultra 320 Scsi
**BUMP** Still no solution :-(
We have tried all the settings above. The weirdest thing is that th Library&Tape Tools (4,17) is not reporting any issues. Only thing we noticed is that a full tape test (write/read) with LT&T takes over 6 hours while a back-up with arcserve writes much faster.
Could it be something with the write speed. This would explain why some one had succes when he switched the U320 card with a u160. The U160 is much slower ofcourse.
Does anyone know a way to "slow down" the U320 connection to the tapestreamer, or the LTO-4 itself.
Don't know if it woudl help, but it would be worth trying.
We have spend so much time on this, that the costs are almost more then buing a new LTO-4 on SAS.

Appending to a case is not ideal, I don't know how much of this applies to your problem.
However, did you check this?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: DL380G5 and HP LSI Ultra 320 Scsi
HI,
we tried the storport readybusytime = 250 setting. And with the HP LTO 4 10.0.7.1 driver used in windows it seams to work untill we reboot the server. After a server reboot we get the same errors during back-up.
The way to fix it is remove the drivers for the LTO4 and reboot. Re-install the LTO4 with the same driver. Then Re-apply the storport readybusytime settings.
But after every reboot we have to "fix" it again.
It's realy frustrating.
Regards,
Joost

Re: DL380G5 and HP LSI Ultra 320 Scsi
I installed a new tape drive LTO3, before it was LTO2
With the LTO3 drive my backup job on Server 2012 R1 and ArcServ 16.5 stoped to run.
Error
E6304 Unexpected SCSI Sense Code[ABSL:2030 CMD<WRITE> SC:28h 40]
E6304 Unexpected SCSI Sense Code[ABSL:2030 CMD<LOG SENSE> SC:28h 40]
E3719 Unable to write to media. (MEDIA=18.07.15 16:56 [S/N: ], EC=Hardware Error)
E3712 Unable to close session. (EC=Hardware Error)
I removed all the installed HP Software, I also set the storport registry key with a value of 500.
Now it seems to working again and I hope not only for onetime.
I needed to replace the LTO2 drive because of a hardware failure and because the drive was out of warranty I needed to order a LTO3 drive. I can't find a new LTO2 Drive.
With my LTO2 Drive the backup was running without any problems until the drive crashes.
Hope this helps you with your problem
Greetings
Dominik

Re: DL380G5 and HP LSI Ultra 320 Scsi
Hi,
We're upgrading Windows Server 2008 R2 entreprise to Windows Server 2012 R2 standard.
While updating getting error i.e. "Load Driver :storage controllers lsi adapter ultra320 scsi 2000 series".
Please suggest/share the link to download the required driver.
