DL385 AMD and PowerNow settings
I have a Dual AMD DL385.
My OS is CentOS 4.4 64bit.
I'm running VMWare Server on top of this CentOS version and it runs very well.
Under load, the clocks in the guest OSes tend to start running fast, and this eventually causes the guest OSes to crash.
The suggestion is to turn off AMD PowerNow technology since this causes the hardware clock to fluctuate, which is in turn problematic for the virtual machines.
I looked in the BIOS of the DL385 and can only find the setting for Power Regulator -- which is set to disabled.
Can anyone point me to the controls for this setting?
Thanks.
