ILO - Server Name: host is unnamed?
Where do I make the config change to have ILO have the server name for identification?
This is for Red Hat AS 4 servers.
Thanks

Re: ILO - Server Name: host is unnamed?
AFAIK, ILO name by default is "ILO
You can change this name in ILO->Administration->Network settings->Advanced configuration parameters if you connect to ILO IP address with your web browser.
I think you can do this change if you press "F8" for ILO configuration during server boot as well.
Or by using "Mod_Network_Settings.xml" script

Re: ILO - Server Name: host is unnamed?
I'm guess that you haven't installed any of the HP software under RedHat.
If you install the latest ProLiant Support Pack for RedHat, that should install the relevant software to enable ILO to pick up the hostname from the OS.
Cheers,
Rob

Re: ILO - Server Name: host is unnamed?
Can it's name be set from VMWare?
Thanks
