DL385 Gen10 memory remap option missing

Hello everyone,

After a memory replacement we received an event stating that memory could not be retrained and therefore is left unused. As per HPE guide we tried to remap memory, however the option is missing from the Memory Options screen. Server has the newest firmware.

Has anyone seen this issue? As this is an AMD server, maybe there is another procedure for this.

Re: DL385 Gen10 memory remap option missing

Hi @steez

The Memory Remap option is typically available in the BIOS/UEFI settings for Intel-based systems, but AMD systems handle memory remapping differently. On AMD EPYC systems, memory remapping might be automatically managed by the processor architecture rather than exposed as a configurable option in UEFI.

For more info, please refer to the quick specs.

Greeshma

Thank you @Greeshma21 for reply and comments. We will go ahead and open a case regarding this, as even after the module replacement status is failed/unused.
